Ghost Margins is a fanfiction and original fiction archive focused on simple browsing, flexible tagging, and reader choice.
Do I need an account to read?
No. Most works can be read without an account unless the author chooses to make a work available to registered users only.
Do I need an account to post?
Yes. You need a registered account to create and publish works.
Does Ghost Margins allow explicit fiction?
Works may include mature or explicit fictional content as long as they follow the site rules and applicable law. Authors are responsible for using accurate ratings and warnings.
Can I report a work?
Yes. Published works have a Report button that sends the report to site moderation for review.
Can I save stories for later?
Yes. Registered users can use Bookmarks and Read Later.
How many tags can I add to a work?
Each work can have up to 20 tags. This keeps browsing and search results readable while still giving authors room to describe their work.
Can I edit my work after publishing it?
Yes. Authors can edit their work information and chapters after publishing.
Can I save a work as a draft?
Yes. Works and chapters can be saved as drafts before publishing.
Does Ghost Margins have comments?
No. Ghost Margins does not currently have a commenting system.
What should I do if I find content that breaks the rules?
Use the Report button on the published work. Reports are sent privately to site moderation for review.
What content is allowed on Ghost Margins?
Ghost Margins allows a wide range of fictional content, including dark, mature, controversial, and explicit themes. Works must follow applicable law and the site rules. Fictional content is not removed simply because someone finds its subject matter uncomfortable or offensive.
What content is not allowed?
Content that violates applicable law, harassment, threats, spam, or other violations of the site rules may be removed. Reports are reviewed before moderation action is taken.
Does reporting a work automatically remove it?
No. A report sends the work to moderation for review. A work will not be automatically removed simply because it has been reported.
Can authors choose who can read their work?
Yes. Authors can choose to make a work available to registered users only.
